A stylish and cosy cottage situated in a unique location in the Yorkshire Dales and close to the Lake District

Nestled in a serene and peaceful hamlet with stunning views of the Howgills, No.10 Millthrop is a charming 200 year old one-bedroom cottage that serves as a perfect bolt-hole, offering a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Despite its peaceful surroundings, it boasts a prime location, conveniently situated in the Yorkshire Dales National Park yet being close to the Lake District. The cottage itself is right on the Dalesway with the Howgills as the backdrop.

After a day of adventure, step inside and discover tastefully decorated rooms, a super comfortable bed with sumptuous, yet relaxed, linens. Everything has been thoughtfully curated with a blend of comfort and style with a mix of contemporary and antique furnishings.

If you have time to fit in activities other than the amazing walks, there are so many things to do: take advantage of the Yorkshire Dales’ Dark Skies. With little light pollution, you can enjoy stars, planets, the Milky Way and meteors – and sometimes even the aurora borealis, right from the cottage. More about the cottage

Step into the cottage where the open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area awaits. There is a stone floor with underfloor heating throughout the downstairs and a log burning stove. There’s a dining table and chairs for two people. The locally handmade kitchen features a fridge with an icebox, an induction hob and oven with a quick warm feature. There is a turning staircase, with the first small flight of stairs leading to the back door which takes you out into a patio area which backs onto a field and has stunning views of the Howgills. Up the next flight of stairs leads to the double bedroom and bathroom with an over bath shower. The cottage also features gas central heating with traditional radiators.
